Overview
Repair & maintenance of electrical appliance technicians specialize in learning to diagnose and repair faults and install electrical and electronic components.
What you will learn
In this course you will learn to understand basic electrical theory, define the name and identification of electrical instruments/equipment and tools (combination pliers, cutter pliers, star kit set, multi meter, volt meter ampere meter, tong tester, screw wrench, screw driver set, hammer, rubber hammer, testing board, leads, wire stripper, lock pliers pulley puller, soldering iron etc.), and understand the working of common electrical objects and appliances such as fluorescent tube lights, electric irons, fans, washing machines, electric heaters, electric kettles, toasters, sandwich makers, blender/juicers ( that includes construction, function of parts and circuit diagram explanation). You will also be able to understand the electrical wiring circuit diagram, explicate the single-phase electric motors, and differentiate between the types and sizes of cables as per electrical load.
Entry Requirements
