Getting to know PSDF

Our purpose-You will be part of the largest skills development fund in Pakistan. PSDF’s purpose is to shape the future and well-being of our poor and vulnerable youth by giving them access to skills training of the highest standard so they can find sustainable employment and income-generating opportunities in Pakistan and beyond.

The impact we have created-PSDF started its operations in the 4 poorest districts of Punjab. Since 2016, the geographical remit has expanded to the entire 36 districts of Punjab. PSDF has trained almost 300,000 underprivileged youth across Punjab, which includes 180,000+ male and 110,000+ female graduates. These graduates have been trained in approximately 250 demand-driven and market relevant trades across 10 sectors.

How the Role looks like

You will act as a custodian of all Internal and External Communication Channels on behalf of PSDF while collaborate with the Head on brand image by creating and promoting events/product promotions on all media platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver creative marketing and communication strategies, plans, materials and approaches to help market and position PSDF to raise its brand awareness and program awareness amongst key target audiences
  2. Plan the marketing and communications strategies for specific areas of PSDF’s work and for different audiences. Work with the communication, program and senior management teams to put the strategy into practice.

Communications and Content:

  1. Evaluate opportunities for sponsorships and advertising on an on- going basis
  2. Draft and edit high quality content for PSDF social media updates internal and external communication to develop tailored communications targeted at segmented groupings of PSDF
  3. Development and messaging of PSDFs purpose
  4. Plan and implement direct marketing approaches including targeting, personalization of messages and measurability; data analysis, customer profiling and segmentation
  5. Manage digital presence of the company across social media platforms, internet, website management, as well as internally.

Strategy:

  1. Brand strategy, including the setting of style guides, brand guidelines, brand vision and value proposition for short as well as long term
  2. Competitor and customer insights analysis
  3. Develop & deploy marketing initiatives for the Key project. Develop strategic direction and communication, (Thematic campaigns, grassroots activities, promotions)

Product Marketing:

  1. Assisting with product development, pricing, messaging and new program launches
  2. Creating and managing promotional collateral to establish and maintain program salience
  3. Managing the annual and quarterly budget for advertising and comms

Campaign development and Agency Management:

  1. Build and manage all campaigns across different marketing channels (influencers, PR, social media, content marketing)
  2. Handle all marketing and advertising agency management

Research:

  1. Plan and conduct research for brand awareness and consumer profile

What do we expect you to achieve?

The main accountabilities for this role include:

  1. Develop good quality and meaningful content that allows the dissemination of PSDF’s message to the desired target audiences
  2. Work closely with the external agencies to ensure timely and effective delivery of the required communications material – with consistent messaging;
  3. Develop new channels maintain existing ones to ensure all key stakeholders receive the right information and message through PSDF touch points/ key communication channels on a regular
  4. Design and develop creative communication and marketing products – presentations, briefings, etc. that will maximize PSDF’s message, support program objectives.
  5. Plan and implement direct marketing approaches upholding brand values and measurability; data analysis, customer profiling and segmentation.
  6. Work with the Digital Lead in crafting a digital strategy.
  7. Manage the Marketing & Communications budget and ensure program milestones related to marketing & communications are achieved on time and within budget.
  8. Contribute to and strengthen partnership proposals and fund reports to ensure robust and creative marketing and communication considerations are adopted.
  9. Represent PSDF at external meetings and conferences.
  10. Act as the first point of contact for HOD M&C with regard to external communications such as providing support with conference presentations.
  11. Inspiring, motivating and supporting teams so that they are thinking and acting at their best, delivering high quality work, working as an effective team and meeting organizational and individual objectives.
  12. Support the professional development of the team to continuously develop skills and expertise and support career development aspirations.
  13. Coordinate (and in some cases manage) the work of external communication consultants and identify new consultants with additional expertise

Are you the right fit for this Job?

To apply, you must have:

  1. Master’s degree in Marketing, Management Sciences or any relevant / similar degree from an HEC-recognized / accredited university
  2. A minimum of 8 years of experience and 2 years of experience at managerial level in a relevant / similar field.
  3. Experience with international organizations and brand management will be preferred

The required experience for this role requires you to have:

  1. Exceptional verbal, written (familiarity with different styles/tones of writing will be ideal) & presentation skills
  2. Extensive knowledge of public relations strategies and protocols
  3. Understanding of marketing techniques and familiarity with media platforms
  4. Basic communication design/layout experience desired
  5. Knowledge of electronic media such as websites, newsletters, social media, & other IEC material
  6. Ability to creatively find solutions to challenges, manage and resolve conflicts
