Industrial Stitching Machine Mechanics specialize in repair and maintenance of stitching machines and are knowledgeable about quality control, thread function machines and the causes of thread breakages, skip, jump stitches & needle breakages.
This course will allow the learner to identify the name and functions of various machines and their uses, identify accessories of various machines and describe their functions, do machine cleaning (Before & after work), wind a bobbin, thread a machine, thread color change, without removing complete thread (by knotting) adjust tension, choose and change a needle., differentiate needs of lock stitch, over lock, and flat lock etc, operate M/C, handle garment and control speed of each machine properly, sew on rags, make special shapes on fabric pieces e.g. collar, placket; side-vents etc, complete garment making, produce maximum work in minimum time with required quality (using proper movements of arms, legs, and hands, proper posture etc.), rectify the causes of thread breaking, bobbin thread breaking and their remedies and the causes of skip stitches.

On successful completion of course, the trainees must have acquired market awareness, knowledge of various kinds of machines, know various parts of machine, use tools/equipment’s, knowledge of quality control, knowledge about thread function machines and handle various machines, the causes of thread breakages, skip, jump stitches & needle breakages, know about machine care (before and after operation), fashion designing and analyzing various designs and demonstrating the selection of material such as fabric, thread and other accessories according to quality, design and fashion
