What you will learn

In this course you will learn to understand and apply the principles of design to fabrics, and describe the the role of colour in designing fabrics. You will also comprehend the technical aspects of fabric dyeing, painting and printing, explain the finishing treatments for printed fabrics,  and understand market trends in fabric designing & printing.

Training Outcome

After completing this course, you will be able to make designs and develop color harmonies for apparel & upholstery brands. The course will also have taught you how to use fabric dyeing in different ways (for example in tie & dye, batik etc.), carry out brush painting methods for fabrics, and use different techniques for fabric printing (such as spray printing, stenciling, block printing, & screen printing).
