Overview

This course will allow the trainees to create 2D drawings, convert the CAD model into a CAM model for modeling the manufacturing and use CAM software to understand CNC process information.

What you will learn

This course will allow you to create 2D simple drawing by using the basic Draw and Modify Tool bars, improve visualization ability of machine components and assemblies before their actual fabrication through modeling, animation, shading, and coloring, model complex shapes including freeform curves and surfaces, understand the possible applications of the CAD/CAM systems in motion analysis, structure, convert the CAD model into a CAM model for modeling the manufacturing, use CAM software to understand CNC process information, use full‐scale CAD software systems designed for geometric modeling of mechanical components and automatic generation of manufacturing information to create 3D drawings of Mechanical parts in conceptual mode.

Training Outcome

After the successful completion of this course, you will be able to understand the AutoCAD/CAM workspace and user interface. You will also be fully trained to use basic drawing, editing, and viewing tools, organize drawing objects on layers, insert reusable symbols, prepare a layout to be plotted, add text, hatching, and dimensions, use more advanced editing and construction techniques, create local and global blocks, set up layers, styles and templates, exercises & project assignments
