Our purpose

You will be part of the largest skills development fund in Pakistan. PSDF’s purpose is to shape the future and well-being of our poor and vulnerable youth by giving them access to skills training of the highest standard so they can find sustainable employment and income-generating opportunities in Pakistan and beyond.

The impact we have created

PSDF is the largest skills development fund in Pakistan established as a section 42 (nonprofit) company, set up by the Government of Punjab in collaboration with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). Over the past 10 years, it has funded training for over 500,000 youth across Punjab in 250+ demand-driven trades over six dedicated programs UMEED, AGHAAZ, URAAN, HARYALI, e-TAYYAR and MAHIR through an ecosystem of 500+ training service providers, primarily from the industry and private sector.

How the Role looks like

You are responsible for planning and overseeing projects from the initial ideation through to completion. Coordination with people and processes to deliver projects on time, within budget and with the desired outcomes aligned to objectives. Discovers and explores business opportunities.

The main opportunities and challenges for this role are to:
  • Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities
  • Maintain relationships with existing and potential training
  • Coordinate with Strategy department for different skills related researches and studies to incorporate the relevant outcomes in the schemes Support to design and implement scalable operational solutions for strategic initiatives, partnerships and pilot projects.
  • Undertake research and prepare training material for new projects funding.
  • Direct the initiative of structured skills learning and monitor their quality results.
  • Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to reflect any changes and gauge impact.
  • Explore international and local donor agencies for skills funding
  • Assist in undertaking mobilization activities through capacity building workshops, pre-proposal seminars, meetings and other ways of formal communication to enhance participation in PSDF funded
  • Undertake research on TVET Institutes, industries and potential employers and create and update data bank for Potential Training
  • Undertake research and prepare data visualizations and presentations from PSDF Business data.
  • Work with the PD Team to design training programs based on PSDF historic data and research
  • Maintain the PD Team data repositories for all trades, projects, and schemes.
  • Extend support to other team members as and when required to meet departmental objectives.

What do we expect you to achieve?

The main accountabilities for this role include
  • Identifying new initiatives for Skills Training Interventions
  • Explore new potential training funding opportunities.
  • Undertake research, collect and analyze data and assist in design programs/schemes inclusive of sectors, clusters, trades, geographic location and target audience etc.
  • Carry out data analysis and research work necessary for the development of new skill related schemes

Are you the right fit for this job?

To apply, you must have
  • Master’s degree in business administration or any other relevant discipline from an HEC recognized
  • Minimum of 4 years or above of relevant experience, preferably in the Development Sector and demonstrated experience of new initiatives.
