Getting to know PSDF

Our purpose – You will be part of the largest skills development fund in Pakistan. PSDF’s purpose is to shape the future and well-being of our poor and vulnerable youth by giving them access to skills training of the highest standard so they can find sustainable employment and income-generating opportunities in Pakistan and beyond.

The impact we have created – PSDF started its operations in the 4 poorest districts of Punjab. Since 2016, the geographical remit has expanded to the entire 36 districts of Punjab. PSDF has trained almost 300,000 underprivileged youth across Punjab, which includes 180,000+ male and 110,000+ female graduates. These graduates have been trained in approximately 250 demand-driven and market relevant trades across 10 sectors.

How the Role looks like ?

The incumbent will carry out mobilization activities to develop TSP Bank and assist in performing all capacity building sessions to enhance participation in PSDF funded schemes. He/She will contribute to development of mobilization plan and creation of potential collaboration with employer/industry and formal training institutes and addressing their daily concerns.

The main accountabilities for this role include:

  • Assist in increase the Training Provider Bank
  • Mobilization of Industries to Achieve 30% Employment targets.
  • Mobilization of 50 new Training Providers per year.
  • Mobilization of 50 new Businesses/Industries per year
  • Maintaining close relations with various TVET & educational establishments, chambers, and industry
  • Ensure the on-time fulfilment of Data requirements from internal and external teams related to PD.
  • Capacity building of the new and existing Training Partners and the Businesses

The main opportunities and challenges for this role are to:

  • Prepare scheme mobilization plans based on future targets, past performance and approved operating plans.
  • Maintain relationships with existing and potential Training providers.
  • Undertake research and prepare training material for mobilization and capacity building based on scheme designs and improve training material as per supervisor’s review.
  • Develop content for advertisement of bidding document and ensure all documents are published in various newspapers and other platforms.
  • Assist in undertaking mobilization activities through capacity building workshops, Pre-Proposal Seminars, meetings, and other ways of formal communication to enhance participation in PSDF funded schemes.
  • Undertake research on TVET Institutes, industries and potential employers and create and update data bank for Potential Training Providers.
  • Assist in institutional capacity development of Training Providers.
  • Develop Program documents and ensure that all documents are forwarded timely to the relevant teams

Assist in any other activities, duties and responsibilities assigned to him/her from time to time

To collaborate and perform effectively, the role requires you to
  • Build strong relationships with External Teams e., TSP’s, Business, Chamber of Commerce, TVET Institutes, Employment Partners etc.
  • Build strong relationships with Internal Teams; Monitoring & Evaluation, Program Development, Marketing & Communication

Are you the right fit for this job?

To apply, you must have
  • Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree (16 years) from an HEC-recognized / accredited university with Business Administration / Marketing / Economics / Social Sciences or a relevant discipline from an HEC-recognized university. Master’s degree in any relevant discipline preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferably in development sector
The required experience for this role requires you to have
  • Knowledge of research methodologies
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community
  • Good research and report writing skills
  • Excellent in Microsoft Excel
