Overview

Telecommunication technicians specialise in installation and maintenance of exchange techniques, learning to operate and maintain PABXs (including cabling).

Training Outcome

After completing this course, you will be able to use hand tools, electrical/electronic measuring tools, and be able to handle power supply, UPS systems, stabilizers etc., and conduct survey of buildings for cable installation. You will also be able to carry out laying, testing, jointing of cable systems and their maintenance, installation/repair of telephone sets, PABX system installation, routine maintenance, and be able to identify different parts of a personal computer (PC) and peripherals.
