What you will learn

This training will allow trainees to learn about the skills and techniques needed to be a successful machinist It also enables the student to pursue a machinist career path with greater employment and entrepreneurial skills progress to related general and/or vocational qualifications. They will learn to carry out calculations and prepare estimates for mechanical work, carry out bench work, general maintenance and perform grinding operations.

Training Outcome

After completing this course, the trainee will be able to perform off-hand grinding, surface grinding, cylindrical grinding, tool/cutter grinding, centerless grinding, prepare materials for shaping operations, select tools and equipment’s, set shaper machine for operations, perform shaping operations (angular job and square job), learn about the field of a machinist and its associated elements, develop excellent workpiece on milling, lathe, shaper and CNC machines, develop knowledge of sterilization and sanitation rules and explain their importance, define personal and public hygiene and demonstrate good grooming principles as well as the ability to work in a team.
