Overview

Farm Machinery Mechanics are experts in tillage, sowing & planting, hoeing, spraying, harvesting & post–harvest processing machinery / equipment.

What you will learn

In this course you will learn about the use of cutting tools efficiently & effectively (Hacksaw, Files, Drills, and Taps etc.) , the use of measuring hand tools effectively & accurately. You will also be able to disassemble and assemble the diesel engine in to sub-assemblies, disassemble and assemble the cylinder head and take its measurements, disassemble and assemble the crankshaft, rocker arm and valve mechanism, disassemble and assemble the connecting rod, piston, piston rings of tractor and take their measurements including cylinder bore, the cooling system i.e. radiator, water pump, thermostat etc, remove and re-fix the clutch plates and make its adjustments and inspect and maintain the power train of (torque convertor, gear box, Variable Constant Transmission, propeller shaft and differential).

After completing this course you will be able to perform safety measures regarding self, workshop, environment, explain to take the reading with the help of measuring tools, explain the names purpose and identification of measuring and hand tools, describe the basic technical drawing of engine and farm machinery assemblies & sub-assemblies, describe technical specification of different vehicles, describe the operation of internal combustion engine, explain the types and construction of diesel engine & sasoline engine, express the specification of various parts of diesel & gasoline engine, describe the various system of engine i.e. fuel system, lubrication system, cooling system, exhaust system and ignition system and describe the hydraulic system of tractors.
