This course is designed to impart the skills and knowledge to the trainees for carrying out basic first aid, deworming and vaccination of village livestock in order to produce a skilful and capable workforce
What you will learn
The curriculum of the course covers the introduction to different breeds of livestock, housing & management at livestock farms, feeding requirement of different classes of animals, internal & external parasites of animals, their types and control, infectious & non-infectious diseases of animals, vaccination against prevalent animal diseases and different routes of drug administration.

Training Outcome
On successful completion of this course, the trainee should be able to take care of the health of animals, handle/restrain animals for, examination/treatment, record body temperature, drench/deworm the animal, dress wounds, dehorn the animal, inject the medicine through intra-muscular, subcutaneous, intravenous, intra-mammary routes, castration, handle vaccines and medicines, detect heat in animals, prepare hay, prepare silage and perform pregnancy diagnosis in domestic animals
