Our purpose
You will be part of the largest skills development fund in Pakistan. PSDF’s purpose is to shape the future and well-being of our poor and vulnerable youth by giving them access to skills training of the highest standard so they can find sustainable employment and income-generating opportunities in Pakistan and beyond.
The impact we have created
PSDF started its operations in the 4 poorest districts of Punjab. Since 2016, the geographical remit has expanded to the entire 36 districts of Punjab and other districts of Sindh, Balochistan & KPK. PSDF has trained almost 600,000 underprivileged youth across Punjab. These graduates have been trained in approximately 250+ demand-driven and market-relevant trades across 8 sectors.

How The Role Looks Like?
The Corporate & Strategic Communications Specialist will support the development and delivery of high-quality institutional communication products that strengthen PSDF’s corporate profile, showcase impact, and position the organization as a credible voice in the development and skills sector.
The role will lead the editorial shaping, refinement, and finalization of communication outputs across print, digital, web, and multimedia platforms. Working closely with internal teams, including research and program functions, the incumbent will translate insights, evidence, program outcomes, and institutional milestones into clear, compelling, and audience-appropriate narratives. The role will also ensure consistency of tone, messaging, and brand across all corporate communication assets and their adaptation for website and social media platforms.
Key Responsibilities
1. Corporate Communications & Editorial Oversight
- Lead the development, refinement, and finalization of corporate and strategic communication materials including press releases, blogs, newsletters, reports, annual reviews, case studies, success stories, coffee table publications, flyers, brochures, and other corporate collateral.
- Review and edit content developed by internal teams, including research and program teams, to ensure clarity, consistency, editorial quality, and alignment with PSDF’s tone and institutional positioning.
- Serve as the focal point for final editorial review, narrative coherence, and tone of voice across major communication outputs.
- Support the development of key messages, institutional narratives, and communication material for leadership, major announcements, and stakeholder engagement.
2. Knowledge Products & Strategic Content
- Work with research, programs, and other internal teams to convert data, findings, and program evidence into case studies, blogs, impact stories, and other knowledge products.
- Ensure communication outputs present technical or research-based content in a way that is accessible, engaging, and relevant for external audiences.
- Support the documentation of institutional learning, program achievements, and development impact through strong written storytelling.
3. Multimedia & Corporate Assets
- Support the conceptualization and development of annual review videos, corporate videos, impact videos, and other visual storytelling assets.
- Coordinate with designers, videographers, agencies, and other vendors to ensure communication materials are delivered to high quality and aligned with PSDF branding and messaging.
4. Website & Multi-Platform Adaptation
- Oversee development and updating of content for the website, including institutional pages, blogs, publications, impact stories, and announcements.
- Ensure communication content is effectively adapted for website, social media, and digital dissemination while maintaining consistency in tone, messaging, and strategic positioning.
- Help maintain an organized repository of communication assets and published materials.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with research, program, partnerships, and leadership teams to identify communication opportunities, source content, and shape strategic narratives.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for timely development and delivery of communication products.
Are you the right fit for this job?
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, Journalism, Marketing, Development Studies, Research, Public Policy, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in corporate communications, strategic communications, editorial content, or development communications.
- Experience in the development sector, public sector, donor-funded programs, or mission-driven organizations will be preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Excellent command over editorial review, tone refinement, and content quality assurance.
- Ability to translate technical, programmatic, or research-based material into clear and compelling communication products.
- Experience in developing and reviewing institutional reports, publications, case studies, media content, and digital communication assets.
- Strong coordination skills and ability to work across multiple teams and external vendors.
- Good understanding of digital content adaptation, website content management, and corporate brand consistency.
