Getting to know PSDF

Our purpose-You will be part of the largest skills development fund in Pakistan. PSDF’s purpose is to shape the future and well-being of our poor and vulnerable youth by giving them access to skills training of the highest standard so they can find sustainable employment and income-generating opportunities in Pakistan and beyond.

The impact we have created-PSDF started its operations in the 4 poorest districts of Punjab. Since 2016, the geographical remit has expanded to the entire 36 districts of Punjab. PSDF has trained almost 300,000 underprivileged youth across Punjab, which includes 180,000+ male and 110,000+ female graduates. These graduates have been trained in approximately 250 demand-driven and market relevant trades across 10 sectors.

How the Role looks like

The primary job responsibilities for this role are:

  1. Carry out extensive literature reviews and secondary research to support development of research concept papers and donor program documents through content generation that is well-articulated and assured for quality and editorial excellence.
  2. Develop Terms of Reference, Expression of Interest and Request for Proposal documents as well as eligibility and technical evaluation criteria for engagement of research firms and consultants.
  3. Review and evaluate the proposals of firms.
    Effectively evaluate project deliverables, research approach and methodology, survey tools in consultation with subject matter experts.
  4. Develop realistic project plans, with clearly defined project activities and milestones.
  5. Evaluate and analyze, quantitative and qualitative data, trends, insights, and evidence generated through research/knowledge-based projects.
  6. Proactively develop periodic progress reports for donors as per reporting protocols.
  7. Proactively seeks for fund raising and development of Business Proposals.
  8. Writing of Business Proposals for Bidding purpose.
  9. Any other related task assigned by the Manager.

  1. This role will require the candidate to demonstrate the strength in analytical, critical thinking, problem solving skills along with exceptional data and trend analysis skills, innovation and ability to deliver within the tight timelines.
  2. Proactively resolve problems and conflicts.
  3. Be able to assist and actively support projects under the guidance and supervision of Manager Research & BD, by taking complete responsibility for the tasks assigned.

Are you the right fit for this Job?

To apply, you must have:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree (16 Years of Education) in Management, Economics, Social Sciences, Accounting/Finance from an HEC recognized/accredited university.
  2. At least 2 years of relevant experience in reputed organizations. Development sector experience will be preferred.
  3. Demonstrated experience of independently managing or have actively supported research, or knowledge-based projects with the public, not-for-profit or large international donors that reflect job responsibilities identified above.
  4. Deep understanding and knowledge of the dynamics of Development Sector in Pakistan (public and/or not-for-profit sector or large international donors)

To perform effectively as Associate Research & Business Development, the functional requirements are:

  1. Exceptional written English language Skills
  2. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  3. Strong content generation and report writing skills
  4. Proficient at data analysis.
  5. Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
