You will be part of the largest skills development fund in Pakistan. PSDF’s purpose is to shape the future and well-being of our poor and vulnerable youth by giving them access to skills training of the highest standard so they can find sustainable employment and income-generating opportunities in Pakistan and beyond.

PSDF is the largest skills development fund in Pakistan established as a section 42 (nonprofit) company, set up by the Government of Punjab in collaboration with the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO). Over the past 10 years, it has funded training for over 500,000 youth across Punjab in 250+ demand-driven trades over six dedicated programs UMEED, AGHAAZ, URAAN, HARYALI, e-TAYYAR and MAHIR through an ecosystem of 500+ training service providers, primarily from the industry and private sector.

How the Role looks like

The Finance Associate will ensure the control mechanism to enhance the accuracy of financial information and to comply with the audit requirements

The main responsibilities for this role are to

• Monthly compilation of Trial Balance including Accruals (Programme and Non- Programme) for timely and accurate monthly reporting including Budget Vs Actual
• Monthly preparation of various reconciliations which includes but is not limited to Inter company, Employee’s advances & their adjustments, TSP’s balances, taxes payable etc.
• Verification of accounting entries into SAP for correct postings and guidance to all related staff
• Support in External Audit starting from Final Trial Balance till disclosure requirements in Financial Statements as per applicable governing rules and liaison with external auditors to complete the audit in a timely manner
• Assistance to CFO and Lead Finance in daily operations including team management, funds management and raising requisitions to Donors
• Any other tasks assigned by CFO and Lead Finance

What do we expect you to achieve?

The Key Performance Indicators for this position are:

• Timely and accurate monthly & quarterly financial statements
• Timely Reporting (Internal & other external stakeholders)
• Timely external audit

Are you the right fit for this job?

To apply, you must have
  • MBA/master’s in accounting & Finance/ACMA/CA finalist with 02 years excluding articles experience
  • Minimum 2 years overall experience in finance
To perform effectively as Specialist Finance, the functional requirements are
  • Thorough knowledge of IFRS
  • Detailed knowledge of Federal & Provincial Tax Regulations
  • Sound knowledge ERP systems from the operations point of view
  • Understanding of company’s ordinance
