Getting to know PSDF

Our purpose-You will be part of the largest skills development fund in Pakistan. PSDF’s purpose is to shape the future and well-being of our poor and vulnerable youth by giving them access to skills training of the highest standard so they can find sustainable employment and income-generating opportunities in Pakistan and beyond.

The impact we have created-PSDF started its operations in the 4 poorest districts of Punjab. Since 2016, the geographical remit has expanded to the entire 36 districts of Punjab. PSDF has trained almost 300,000 underprivileged youth across Punjab, which includes 180,000+ male and 110,000+ female graduates. These graduates have been trained in approximately 250 demand-driven and market relevant trades across 10 sectors.

How the Role looks like

Responsible for leading the identification, development, and management of grant opportunities and proposals to secure funding for PSDF’s programs and initiatives.

The primary job responsibilities for this role will be to:

  1. Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other funding sources.
  2. Stay updated on current funding trends, regulations, and requirements.
  3. Write and develop compelling and persuasive grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation.
  4. Tailor grant applications to align with the priorities and criteria of funding agencies.
  5. Work closely with program staff, finance, and other relevant departments to gather information and understand project specifics.
  6. Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and comprehensive proposals.
  7. Monitor and track submitted proposals and their outcomes.
  8. Manage grant calendars, deadlines, and reporting requirements.
  9. Ensure compliance with grant regulations and guidelines.
  10. Prepare and present regular updates on grant activities and funding status to senior management.
  11. Develop and maintain relationships with grant-making organizations and partners.
  12. Build a calendar of grants and proposals to be written/submitted.

What do we expect you to achieve?

The main accountabilities for this role include:

  1. Number of relevant grant opportunities identified per quarter.
  2. Percentage of submitted grant proposals that are successfully funded.
  3. Total amount of funding obtained through grants within the fiscal year.
  4. Number and success rate of grant proposals submitted and tailored to specific funding priorities.
  5. Adherence to grant calendars, including submission and reporting deadlines.
  6. Number of new partnerships or sustained engagements with grant-making organizations established within the year.
  7. Assess relationship strength and communication frequency with grant-making organizations.

Are you the right fit for this Job?

To apply, you must have:

  1. Bachelor’s degree (Hons) / Master’s in any discipline (Research/ Economics/ Business Administration/ Public Relations/ Public Administration/ Communication, Social Sciences/Sciences will be preferred), or any relevant/similar degree from an HEC-recognized/accredited university
  2. Minimum of 5 years of relevant/similar experience.
  3. Experience in securing funding/grants from international organizations will be preferred.

The experience for this role requires you to have:

  1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Proficiency in using grant management software and tools.
  3. Strong research and analytical abilities.
  4. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  5. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
