Punjab Skills Development Fund launched the scheme “Punjab Skills Development Programme 2018” in February 2017. Under the scheme, a total of 11,525 residents from all the districts of Punjab are being trained. Trainings will be imparted in growth sectors identified in the Punjab growth strategy 2018. The objective of this project is to shape the future wellbeing of vulnerable youth by giving them access to skills training of the highest standard, so they can find sustainable employment and income generation opportunities in Pakistan and beyond. PSDF engaged multiple Vocational Training Providers to provide skills and vocational training to the residents of Punjab.
- Priority sectors for trainings to be imparted are Agriculture, Surgical, Textile, food processing, Sports, Electrical etc.
