PSDF has developed various community based programmes to provide access to high quality skills training for the youth in semi-urban and rural communities. These programmes target agricultural and livestock farmers and the trainings focus on improving farming techniques for better productivity and income. They also target youth with self-employment objectives within their own communities and interested in skills training.

Women training is a large component of community-based programmes at PSDF. These programmes operate on ‘work from home’ model and trainings help generate commercial opportunities and incomes. Thus far, thousands of women have benefited from training in commercial tailoring, beauty care and livestock management.

PSDF funds the training for the trainees and pays them a monthly stipend as an incentive to complete training.
