Overview
Safety inspectors specialise in safety operations, learning to prepare scaffolding and safety signs, as well as check-up on machinery and equipment for hazard identification, reporting and mitigation.
What you will learn
In this course you will learn to identify different types of hazards, and develop capacity to prevent and eliminate hazards. You will also learn how to conduct HSE training and explain its importance, explain rigging equipment, safety audits, understand different classes of fire extinguishers and how to use them, and about fall protection equipment. The course will also teach you First Aid, about breathing apparatus and its uses, about the importance of fire drills, and how to inspect scaffolding to avoid hazards. All in all, the course will teach you about a safety inspector’s job description and responsibilities, about PPE’s and how to use them, and also how to conduct injury and incident investigations.

Training Outcome
After completing this course, you will be able to conduct fire drills, safety audits, tool box talks as well as supervise safe work practices, conduct inspections, housekeeping, and basic fire-fighting. You will also have learnt how to prepare scaffolding registrations, describe and demonstrate safety signs, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE’s), and breathing apparatus. The course will also enable you to prepare job risk assessment reports, conduct strict discipline on construction sites, report and investigate accidents, conduct HSE emergency response, and prepare hazards assessments.
