Pipe & structure fabricators specialise in fabrication techniques in construction, learning to grind, measure, cut discs, and tighten/loosen flanges, valves and bends.
What you will learn
In this course you will learn about relevant and applicable safety precautions necessary for pipe and structure fabricators. You will also learn how to use hand tools, as well as machine tools and equipment, and be able to identify and use common marking and measuring tools, grinders, hacksaws, and cutting and griping tools. The course will also teach you further about commonly used hardware, as well as flanges, valves, fittings, gaskets and how to fit joints using bevelling and welding techniques.

Training Outcome
After completing this course, you will be able to perform all basic skills such as measuring and grinding, and have extensive know-how of cutting and welding tools, and how to maintain them. You will also have learnt techniques such as, grinding a working piece, using pencil grinders and cutting discs for the preparation of plate pieces, measure, cut and place/stack MS Plate to the given size, along with how to tack two welding pieces to make a joint. The course will also have taught you about temporary and permanent joints, and how to finish, fill and clear metal surfaces.
