Overview
Multi welders (3G SMAW+6G GTAW) specialize in multi welding techniques whereby they learn how to use welding tools which allows them to measure, grind, cut and weld.
What you will learn
In this course you will learn about the basics of welding, including common types of materials used in welding, identifying materials, cutting tools, instruments and their uses, complete with safety precautions applicable to welding machines and tools. You will also learn about welding symbols, how to read and interpret drawings and gain knowledge on welding joints: their positions, use, selection, inspection and testing.

Training Outcome
After completing this course, you will have learnt about common hand tools used in welding as well as their use and maintenance. This skill will allow you to prepare a working piece, using pencil grinders and cutting discs for preparing pipe pieces. This course will also have taught you how to bevel the pipe to make it ready for welding, tack two welding pieces to make a joint, and conduct arc welding or SMAW welding of common welding joints. You will also have learnt how to distinguish different metals and electrodes, understand electricity and control of welding machines and have the ability to use different types of angle grinders and pipe cutting with the help of a power cutter.
