What you will learn
In this course, you will learn about common types of materials and measuring tools, and about exercising safety precautions while using machine tools and equipment. You will also learn about the common types of scrappers used by millwrights and the procedure of scrapping and settings, understand drawings and symbols and common millwright devices, and common types of emery pastes and stones for tooling. You will also have learnt about the working of gears and motors, lubricants and its uses, troubleshooting of pumps, compressors, and turbines and estimate costs involved in millwright jobs.

Training Outcome
After completing this course, you will be able to use common working hand tools (measuring, grinding, cutting tools, welding tools) and carry out their use and maintenance, use pencil grinders and cutting discs for the preparation of plate pieces, as well as measure, cut and place / stack shim plates and MS plates to the given size. You will also be able to install, maintain and fabricate machinery and equipment according to plans in industrial establishments, and carry out alignment and balancing of equipment, maintenance of rotary and centrifugal equipment, as well as connecting couplings and valves and perform productive and operation maintenance and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
