What you will learn
In this course you will learn about the procedures and techniques of building constructions, understand the types, properties, specifications and methods of testing in concrete construction, and comprehend the principles and procedure of quality control in concrete construction. You will also be able to practice the properties specification methods for testing of road aggregates and binders, define the principles of classifying soils and define the principle of governing the flow of water through soil.

Training Outcome
After completing this course, you will be able to determine the properties of concrete and its ingredients using standard testing procedures in the lab, determine the mechanical properties of construction materials, obtain samples and conduct test for soil properties in the lab as well as in the field, and conduct site investigations for foundation design. You will also be able to supervise and conduct field as well as lab tests for highway constructions and materials, conduct water analysis tests and prepare concrete as per required specification in the lab.
